Spring Blooms

ImageThe sun has gone back in hiding this week so it’s nice to look at these photos to be reminded of how lovely it is when it appears.

ImageAt our old house we had a family of ducks that lived in our front yard in the Spring. At our apartment we seem to have a pair of very friendly geese.

ImageHope the blooms are blooming where you are.

Maya’s happy face

ImageInspired by this post I set out to teach My a little about sewing. She already has experience from her days @ PSU but we hadn’t done anything at home in awhile.

She was so happy and it took a total of 10 minutes start to finish which was perfect. She actually has a pretty wide attention span if it’s something she’s really into but she had other items on her agenda today so this was perfect. I can’t see what else she’s gonna come up with.

The rest of the photos are of their bedtime routine. In case you forgot what their room looks like I took a few from all around…

At the Doc: then and now

ImageThese first few are from April 2009. They were really sick with something. Fevers, vomiting, etc. Ugh.

They were 1 and 3.

ImageThese were from a few weeks ago. Maya had two warts that needed freezing. 🙂

Now they’re 6 and 8!

My Oregonians

You know I love the sun.

Love it.

Could never get enough of it.

Never.

My children however are born and raised Oregonians and they have grown in the clouds.

A lot of clouds.

A lot.

This photo sums up their reaction to the sun (mostly Owen’s).

ImageI had him reinact his typical reaction to the sun (on a not super sunny day) but believe me, he goes all vampire on me when the sun breaks through the clouds and starts ducking for cover.

ImageIt’s Spring here though in the PNW and the cherry blossoms are breaking my heart with all their pink awesomeness and they look especially spectacular against the brilliant blue skies we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy the past few days.

No photo of that but here’s one of the coolest kids in America:

ImageEnjoy your sunshine!
